PEACE 4 ANIMALS AND NEWLY-FORMED THE SHEEP HEAL PROJECT RESCUE 10 SHEEP AND 5 GOATS FROM SLAUGHTER IN CAMARILLO, CA

Rescued Sheep To Serve As Therapy Animals For People In Need

Sheep Heal PeojectAugust 23, 2018, Los Angeles – Peace 4 Animals, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting wildlife, companion animals, and farm animals, as well as encouraging a plant-based lifestyle across the globe, has partnered with the nonprofit, The Sheep Heal Project, to rescue American Blackbelly Sheep and Boer Goats from a Southern California Farm that was sending them to slaughter.

“It was an emergency situation,” stated Fia Perera, co-founder of The Sheep Heal Project. “Fortunately, with the help of Peace 4 Animals, we were able to save them from the horrors that they would have been subjected to at the slaughterhouse.”

While all of the animals are now safe, many of the sheep will become therapy animals at The Sheep Heal Project’s current location in Moorpark, California, where they may freely interact and share their gentle nature, quiet strength, and inherent wisdom with humans struggling with life challenges such as PTSD, addiction, and emotional or spiritual trauma.

“We are thrilled to know that the rescued Blackbelly sheep and Boer goats are now safe,” said Katie Cleary, founder of Peace 4 Animals and World Animal News. “When we received a call to help these beautiful animals who just recovered from the brink of extinction, from fewer than 100 registered in the U.S. to over 3,000 registered in 2017, we made the decision to help The Sheep Heal Project with the urgent rescue.”

“These amazing animals help allow the natural healing process by removing stress obstacles with their presence and sweet nature,” shared Perera. “I encourage everyone to meet these beautiful sheep, which are docile, multi-faceted creatures who have an uncanny ability to connect with people. It will forever change their view of farm animals.”

“The biggest take-away from all of this is that because a certain breed of animal has been considered food, does not mean that they are devoid of being highly-intelligent, intuitive, and valuable beings,” added Perera. “While The Sheep Heal Project is rescuing these deserving animals from slaughter, we are also helping people heal. It’s remarkable, necessary, and heartwarming, and we greatly appreciate the support of Peace 4 Animals for helping us heal both animals and people in need.”

“We thank The Sheep Heal Project for their incredible work connecting animals who have been saved from unfortunate circumstances with the people who need their help, so that both humans and animals can work together to heal one another”, said Katie Cleary.
